About To Øl

To Øl City is the name of the groundbreaking and pioneering home of To Øl Brewery in Denmark. Located in a 150.000 m² area of a former food-processing factory in the village of Svinninge, about one hour from Copenhagen, the multiple buildings contain a state of the art 80 hl BrauKon turnkey brewery system. A highly efficient and flexible fun-toy for creating the extraordinary brews of one of the most outstanding and creative Craft Breweries on this planet. To Øl City is a craft beverage hub for creative and innovating concepts, such as barrel aging and wild beer concepts, cocktail creation and spirits production.

Challenges

The Challenge of the new brewery setup was to combine the world famous creativity and quality of To Øl brews with highest efficiency of a modern production brewery. A high level of automation ensures consistent quality and taste while the unique BrauKon technology leaves space for the brewery creativity and innovative power.  

Our Solution

BrauKon supplied a state-of–the art brewing system from Brew House to bright beer tanks. Our BrauMill system ensures ideal grist supply to the BrauKon fully automated 80 hl brewhouse system. Based on a 5-vessel setup including whirlpool this system can operate up to ten brews per day. A flexible setup of the prerun vessel allows its function for kettle souring. Our dedicated hop back pellet system intensifies unique hop flavors on the way between whirlpool and wort cooling. The entire Brew House and process area is automated by our latest process control system BrauControl Pro. BrauKon supplied the complete cellar plant including tanks and CIP system as well as the complete piping and installation works.
