About Gallia
The Gallia project began in 2010 when Guillaume Roy and Jacques Ferté had the idea of bringing an old Parisian beer brand back to life. Supported by the descendants of Jean-Jacques Wohlhüter, the creator of Gallia beer in 1890, Roy and Ferté are continuing an old Parisian success story. For the reconstruction of the brewery, they chose to work with BrauKon – it was the first brewery BrauKon built the French metropolis of Paris. During the opening party, Gallia already placed a second order.
Challenge
The creative brew masters at Gallia place particular emphasis on very hoppy and unusual beer styles. The BrauKon equipment had to offer the greatest possible flexibility in terms of creativity and at the same time guarantee consistent product quality. These parameters are met both on the small 20hl brewery for special beers and on the large 80hl plant. Since 2021, Heineken has been part of the project as a partner of Gallia.
Our solution
Due to the high rental prices in Paris, it was important to save as much space as possible: Whirlpool and water tank were therefore placed on top of each other in the 20hl plant. In 2021, BrauKon will deliver a full turnkey project with brew house, cellar system with a tank capacity of approx. 30,000hl, a fully automatic control system and a bottling line. For this, BrauKon developed a customized concept for an efficient, state-of-the-art turnkey brewery.
