The VertiKon enables safe and controlled conditioning of the malt by means of downdraft humidification. The more elastic husks allow better grinding of the endosperm while remaining intact. The result is a significant reduction in lautering time with a simultaneous gain in extract of up to two percent, and best wort quality due to fewer tannins.
